New Mexico Bingo Bingo and Oklahoma: Two birds of a feather

Oklahoma has for a long time been analogous with Bingo. That is because the Amerindian bands of Oklahoma have run Bingo sessions for many years. Clients from every one of the nearby states get in passenger cars and head over to Oklahoma to gamble on Bingo for the weekends.

The 1988 (IGRA) Indian Gaming Regulatory Act followed a landmark decree by The U.S. Supreme Court the year before. From that time, 23 of the 39 Indian tribes of Oklahoma have established bingo halls. The Chickasaw were the first Oklahoma Amerindian band to take advantage of the wagering laws, and today control ten gambling halls of their very own. Bingo was the game on which these casinos were built on. computerized games such as slots were not authorized, on the grounds that they are thought to contribute to gambling addiction at a higher rate than bingo.

In the past few years, Oklahoma governing edicts have changed to permit massive Native gambling gambling halls.
