An abundance has been written in the press recently concerning the bingo industry being hurt as a consequence of the anti smoking law in the UK. Things have become so awful that in Scotland the Bingo industry has asked for big aid to help keep the industry from going bankrupt. Bingo is an enduring game normally played by the "blue haired" generation. The results of the anti cigarette law can already be seen in Scotland where cigarettes are already forbidden in the bingo halls. Players have dropped and the industry is absolutely struggling for its life. But where have the players gone? Of course they haven’t forgotten this established game?
The answer is on the net. Players realise that they can play bingo using their computer whilst enjoying a beer and cig and in the end, enjoy huge prizes. This is a recent development and has happened bordering on perfect with the ban on cigarettes.
