Online Casinos Versus Gambling on Bingo Dangers of Stress While Wagering on UK Bingo

A lot has been stated in the press recently regarding the bingo industry being hit because of the anti smoking law in Britain. Things have become so bad that in Scotland the Bingo industry has demanded huge tax cuts to help keep the industry from going bankrupt. However will the internet adaptation of this classic game provide a salvation, or might it never compare to its land based relative?

Bingo is an classic game generally enjoyed by the "blue haired" generation. Although the game recently had witnessed a recent return in appeal with younger people deciding to visit the bingo parlors instead of the bars on a Friday night. This is all about to get flipped on its head with the enacting of the smoking ban all over England and Wales.

No more will players be able to puff on cigarettes while marking numbers. Starting in the summer of 2007 every public place will no longer be permitted to allow smoking in their buildings and this includes Bingo parlors, one of the most popular areas where many people enjoy smoking.

The outcome of the anti cigarette law can already be felt in Scotland where smoking is already forbidden in the bingo halls. Players have dropped and the business is literally struggling for its life. But where did the players go? Certainly they have not given up on this established game?

The answer is on the internet. People realise that they can gamble on bingo using their computer while enjoying a beverage and cigarette and in the end, enjoy monstrous prizes. This is a recent anomaly and has happened almost perfectly with the ban on smoking.

Of course playing on the web is unlikely to replace the collective part of heading over to the bingo hall, but for a demographic of players the law has left a good many bingo players with no choice.
