Bingo and Oklahoma: 2 birds of a feather Dangers of Anxiety While Participating in Bingo
Mar 112021

A lot has been written in the papers recently regarding the bingo industry being hit as a consequence of the smoking ban in England. Conditions have grown so awful that in Scotland the Bingo industry has requested huge aid to assist in keeping the industry afloat. However does the internet adaptation of this quintessential game offer a reprieve, or might it in no way compare to its bricks and mortar kin?

Bingo has been an ancient game historically played by the "blue haired" generation. For all that the game recently had witnessed a recent comeback in appeal with younger men and women deciding to visit the bingo parlors instead of the clubs on a weekend. This is all about to be destroyed with the enacting of the anti cigarette law around Britain.

Players will no longer be allowed to puff on cigarettes at the same time dabbing numbers. Starting in the summer of 2007 every public location will no longer be allowed to permit smoking in their buildings and this includes Bingo parlours, one of the most popular areas where folks enjoy smoking.

The outcome of the anti smoking law can already be observed in Scotland where cigarettes are already banned in the bingo parlours. Profits have plunged and the business is literally fighting for its life. But where did all the players go? Surely they haven’t abandoned this familiar game?

The answer is online. Gamblers know that they can wager on bingo from their computer whilst enjoying a beer and smoke and still have a chance at monstrous jackpots. This is a recent phenomenon and has happened just about perfectly with the anti cigarette law.

Of course playing on the internet is unlikely to replace the collective aspect of going over to the bingo hall, but for a group of men and women the rules have left a lot of bingo players with no choice.
