Oklahoma has long been analogous with Bingo. This is due to the fact that the American Indian bands of Oklahoma have operated Bingo games for generations. Guests from every one of the neighboring states load up in vehicles and visit Oklahoma to enjoy Bingo on the weekends.
The 1988 Indian Gaming Regulatory Act (IGRA) was introduced after a landmark ruling by The U.S. Supreme Court the year prior. From that instance, twenty three of the thirty nine Indian tribes of Oklahoma have established bingo halls. The Chickasaw were the 1st Oklahoma Native tribes to take advantage of the wagering rules, and today control ten gambling halls of their own. Bingo was the game on which the above-mentioned gambling dens were founded. computerized games like slot machine games were not authorized, because they are believed to lead to gambling dependency at a higher rate than bingo.
In recent years, Oklahoma rules have changed to permit massive American Indian wagering casinos. You will now discover Amerindian gambling dens with slot machine games, video poker and 21 tables. Craps and roulette are not yet approved in the Indian casinos yet, although this is simply a waiting game. Nobody can say what having other games in the bingo parlours will do for the draw of bingo.
